Inglot Pro Store Opening No.1 South Anne Street

On Friday I had the pleasure of being invited to an Inglot blogger event for the opening of the new Inglot Pro Store on South Anne Street which is just off Grafton Street. Inglot is one of my favourite makeup brands and the new two storey store boasts not just its full makeup and accessories range but also products exclusive to the Pro Store, which include Sport/Studio Powders, Zucca Make Up Case, Portable Lighted Make Up Station, 42 Piece Brush Set and Facial Toners.  From foundation to lipstick and nail polish to eyeshadow Inglot had a huge array of colours and finishes to offer. This new location also contains a make-over studio, brow bar and private studio where parties, courses and master classes will be held.

The fantastic make up artists demonstrated body painting using their infamous waterproof gel eyeliners in an array of vibrant colours and they also demonstrated a natural make up look on a gorgeous model who bore a striking resemblance to Michelle Keegan.

I picked up some new products while at the event which I had been lusting over and will feature them in some posts coming soon. My sister and I will be heading back to the new Pro Store in the next week to have our make up done and ill be sure to add that to the post too.
If your heading to the new Inglot Pro Store soon be sure to check out their Freedom System Palettes which I think is one of their stand out products. You can check out my Freedom System Eyeshadow Palettes HERE and it also explains about them.
I will definitely be picking up some glitters and more matte eyeshadows next time.

Will you be taking a peek at the new store? What are your favourite Inglot products?

A Little Illamasqua Haul & Mini Review

I recently took advantage of Illamasqua's online sale as the brand is unfortunately unavailable in Ireland anymore. I couldn't resist picking up some things that I was lacking in my kit, mainly cream products which I have come to love. Ive never been disappointed by any of their products and I had to resist purchasing some more blushes. I have a ridiculous amount but Illamasqua's are the best.

Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow
This is a phenomenal contour product that can be used on the eyes, lips and face. When I opened the lid my first reaction was crap this looks like mud. It leans more of a grey brown and is perfect even for a ghostly pale person like myself. It blends beautifully and looks extremely natural.
Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Lies
It's a pearlescent cool pink cream highlighter that glides onto the skin effortlessly and gives an amazing sheen. It looks beautiful with really natural makeup.
Illamasqua Gleam Highlighter in Aurora
Is a champaign coloured cream highlighter which is a thicker consistency than the Cream Blusher in Lies. It gives a gorgeous glow and melts into the skin when applied.
Illamasqua Pure Pigment in Beguile
A bright silvery white glitter pigment with multi colour reflects of green, pink, purple and blue in certain light. It looks amazing layered over a black eyeshadow base and can be mixed into nail polish and lipgloss also.

Illamasqua's packaging looks sleek with its black irregular square shape. They are amazing quality for the price but unfortunately the sale was only on for one day but I would definitely say they are worth the full price.

If anyone has any other Illamasqua product recommendations they would much be appreciated.

College and Life Update

Hi everyone sorry I have been so absent of late, college has literally taken over my life. When you say to someone that you study Theatrical & Media Makeup Artistry they automatically think its an easy going course and theres nothing too it. But it has to be one of the hardest courses i've ever done, with at least one exam every week going towards my final year grade. I just finished all the fashion and photographic looks for my portfolio and ill be starting body painting and airbrush makeup when I start back in January which is exciting but extremely daunting.
Due to studying a makeup course I have a gathered a stupid amount of makeup in the past few months the main culprits being Make Up Forever and Illamasqua. So expect some hauling and reviews on here in the next few weeks. My favourite life saver being the Make Up Forever Flash Colour Palette. It's going to come in so handy for some of my body painting.

Be sure to check back for my next posts and if your interested in hearing more about my course let me know which topics and ill try my best to answer.

Theatrical & Media Make-Up Artistry Course WEEK 1 & 2

Hello everyone, to say the past two weeks has been busy for me would be an understatement. On friday the 14th my sister and I hauled all my make up kit home from my induction day at college, and set about the mammoth task of marking everything so it wouldn't end up accidentally finding its way into someone else's kit. Unfortunately on Saturday the 15th we got some terrible news that my beautiful St. Bernard dog Cleo had kidney failure and would have to be put down the next day. My family and I are still completely devastated, she wasn't just a pet she was part of our family.

Monday the 17th was my first day of college classes and I found it very hard to get out of bed, but i'm glad I did. I've had such an exciting and stressful week which also included my 22nd Birthday. We learned about theatre face and hand ageing to be viewed from far away, day look makeup and our facial services class that we will be doing facials and eyelash and eyebrow tinting. I also found out that we will be tested every week that will contribute to my end of year exams and if I get lower than 60% in any, I will not be able to complete my course. Talk about pressure.

This week we learned television ageing and had demos in bridal and commercial makeup. We were also sent out to learn about our Matis skincare that we will be using during our facial classes. On Thursday I met the lovely Nicola for the first time who will be our beauty teacher. We will be learning HD Brows including threading, Shelac & Gel nails, spray tan and eyelash extensions. I had no idea that I would be covering all these extra subjects other than makeup so I'm very happy.
I'll make sure to post about make makeup kit very soon and I'll try post often about my college experience if anyone is interested.

Hope everyone has had a good few weeks.

False Eyelash Haul - MadameMadeline.com

As I'm starting my theatrical and media makeup artistry course very soon, I was trying to think of extra bits and bobs I would need that might not come in my kits from college.
One of the first things I thought I would be using constantly were false eyelashes and I was actually running low on them for myself already. Knowing that it would be extremely costly to buy eyelashes in most places in Ireland "ahem €8 for a pair of eylure lashes." I decided to see what I could find online and stumbled across madamemadeline.com which is a US based website. They sell Ardell, Eylure, Red Cherry and many more brands at a fraction of the cost.
I decided to purchase multiples of my favourite Ardell lashes $2.48 each, some Duo Eyelash Adhesive $4.20, latex fee Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive $4.75 and try out some Red Cherry lashes which are only $1.99! Altogether including shipping, a discount code and a free pair of Red Cherry 203 lashes it cost $55.75/€43.50, that works out at $2.53/€1.98 for each item!
All the lashes are amazing quality and madamemadeline.com service was brilliant. The order arrived in around five days and I can't wait to try a pair on a night out but unfortunately most will be kept for my college kit.
I'll definitely be making another sneaky order again soon.
